Title: Venice after Turner
Artist: Romuald Rudzki NZAFA

Size: 678mm x 775mm (26.75" x 30.50")
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Subject: Landscape, seascape
Description: A recent work by the artist and a glorious exercise in yellow light cast over land, sea and sky alike. Previously painted by Romuald as the Venetian landscape 'We Cast Dark Shadows' and subsequently over-painted, this work is an homage to J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851) who made three visits to Venice as part of his European tours. Turner is Romuald's favourite artist not just for the art works but also for Turner's views on painting and being a painter.
This painting is presented in a superb Italian double-frame fitted by professional art framer Dennis Jensen of Feilding, as befits the subject matter and represents an inspired masterpiece by the artist channelling his muse.
Price: NZD 3,450 (includes GST @ 15%)
